Texas Power Celebrates North Texas Women
Texas Power Educates Women on Several Aspects of Electricity
Arlington, (September 5, 2008) The 5th Annual Women’s Expo, hosted by NBC 5, packed the Dallas Market Hall with a wide array of vendors including Texas Power who was there with one purpose in mind. Texas Power attended so that they may educate all of the attendees. The purpose of this event is to provide information on nearly every product created for women. As Debbie Graf, Customer Care Manager for Texas Power said, “There were varieties of vendors aimed at all things woman.”
Texas Power’s Desire to Serve
Texas Power wanted to educate all visitors specifically on aspects of the electricity market. As Tim Halden, Director of Sales and Retention for Texas Power said, “Our main objective was to educate women in North Texas about the best possible electricity choices for them as far as conservation and products are concerned.” Echoing his comments was Graf stating, “Events like this are primarily geared towards showing, not selling who Texas Power is.”
Memorable Moments
- The “Watts in the Jar” display at the Texas Power booth attracted a large amount of visitors who wanted to guess the combined wattage of the different bulbs in the jar. Not only did people want to see if they could guess correctly but the $100 gas card was also a good incentive.
- KXAS/NBC 5 filmed for several minutes at the Texas Power booth. They did so to provide an example for next year’s vendors of how to set up a booth.
